Desulfurization of thar lignite by oxidative alkali leaching under pressure

In this research work, thar coal was treated with NaOH solution in dissolved oxygen different reaction parameters an isothermal reactor. All three types of sulfur were removed from through oxidative alkali leaching under pressure. About 90% pyretic sulfur, 78% organic and 50% sulfate removed, more than 82% total removal achieved. Effects various observed, it investigated that time, agitation speed partial pressure have positive effects on the rate desulfurization. Whereas desulfurization increased increase temperature concentration till optimum value as 120°C for 2.5 Molarity . While decreased further values concentration. The observed maximum minimum particle size 40 µm. An Optimized performed time 200 psi, µm, concetration 0.25 Molarity, 3 hours 2000 rpm, after getting all parameters.
